Gwen: I'm sorry I wanted to stay but....
Ianto: Rhys we know.
[Enters Owen]

Owen: His hand... The hand in the jar.... its gone.
Tosh: Where did it come from?
Ianto: Fell from the sky Christmas, 2005.
Owen: He never lets it go, he'd risk hell on earth for it.
Gwen: It has to be to do with that.
Ianto: When it fell to Earth, it was the day of the Sycorax invasion.
Owen: Everyone going wild in the streets, stuck on the rooftops.
Gwen: I should know I was one of them.
Tosh: And Harriet Jones. She kept calling for someone, UNIT were going crazy trying to find him.
Ianto: The doctor.
Gwen: Oh my god..
Tosh: What is it?
Gwen: I asked him, I asked him what the one thing would be that would have convinced him to open the void..... The right kind of Doctor.
Owen: But who the bloody hell is the doctor?
Gwen: I don't know, but that's where he'll be, it has to be right?
Tosh: How are we going to find him, there's nothing.
Ianto: Harriet Jones.

Owen: What's going on Tosh? You two are back and Jack's acting like I've ended his world.

Ianto: Like animals in a zoo. They were getting excited over bananas.
Toshiko: They would have just come off rations, can't blame them.
Ianto: And that Emma, I think it was, enough chocolate in the basket to feed the ten thousand.
Toshiko: Girls like their chocolate Ianto, you should know that.
Ianto: Then she goes and says I'm like her mum.
Toshiko: Ha! Well you can be a little.... mumsy, not that that's a bad thing.
Ianto: Mumsy?

Ianto: It reminded me of Lisa...
Toshiko: Do you want to tell me about it?
Ianto: That's what they did isn't it? The Cybermen cut people up, all that blood it just reminded me...
Toshiko: I'm sorry.

Toshiko: I'm sorry you were there. We shouldn't have been there.
Ianto: No we should have. Its our job. I just wish sometimes I didn't have to remember.
Toshiko: But could you handle forgetting?
Ianto: I don't know. Look its late, you should be getting home.
Toshiko: An empty flat doesn't seem appealing in reality.
Ianto: Same, I've been here since we got back.
Toshiko: Why don't you stay round mine tonight, I've got a spare room, we could talk, or just watch a film and get some food in... We'd both get a good nights sleep.
Ianto: I don't know.
Toshiko: Its okay if you don't want to, probably see enough of me at work.
Ianto: Do you do anything outside of work?
Toshiko: ... No, but you know we're always busy, never really get the chance, all those people we're trying to protect and in the end once we've done that we're left on our own. I'm sorry, not really the best company myself, I'm guessing you don't want to come round?
Ianto: Actually I will if you don't mind, maybe its time we did something normal for a change.
Toshiko: I'll grab my coat, meet you by my car?

Gwen: .... Okay, I'll keep an eye on him, but he might surprise you Jack. I think he'll do fine on his own.
Jack: I have no doubt about that, but Lisa was everything to him, I just want him to know there are people that do still want him here.
Gwen: What do you mean by that.
Jack: I just know what its like to be left by the people you care about, its not nice.
Gwen: I promise I'll try.

Gwen: Can't, Rhys is home, he'll be wondering where I am.
Owen: And there was me thinking you were independant!

Owen: I can't believe he's been keeping that *thing* in the basement.
Gwen: A week later and your still moaning about it. Anyway, doesn't that show something.
Toshiko: What do you mean?
Gwen: You leave the menial crap for Ianto, when was the last time you went down there?
Owen: When was the last time you went down there sweet cheeks?
Toshiko: Owen!
Gwen: No he's right. You can't blame Ianto though. Wouldn't you do anything for love?
Owen: Why on earth would anyone love that. The cybermen were monsters.
Toshiko: She wasn't completely taken over.
Owen: Oh don't give me that. The man was clutching at straws. Why he wasn't fired is beyond me.
Toshiko: This is the one job you can't quit.
Owen: No but he could have had his memory wiped and left on the side of the road.
Gwen: I can't believe you just said that.
Owen: What, wouldn't you? How can we trust him now?
Jack: I do.
Owen: ... Are you always listening in?!
Jack: Rule number one, always check who enters the conversation at the beginning.
Owen: How can *you* trust him?
Jack: Because when it came down to it, even though what he did was wrong, he did it for the right reasons, he tried to protect the one person that was closest to him. He made a mistake, he tried to give Lisa a chance she wasn't supposed to have, and he'll have to deal with the death of the two civilians on his conscience for the rest of his life, but tell me, have you ever met someone as loyal as Ianto?
Owen: He clubbed you one.
Jack: Yeah, and I tell you, he has one hell of a punch when he's angry. I was heartless, and I probably would have done the same to me.
Owen: Sometimes I feel as though I'm the only sane one here.
Gwen: Maybe the only insane one.
Owen: All ganging up on me! Well I've got to go, work to do and all.

Toshiko: Did I just here Owen willingly go back to work.
Gwen: Maybe we are the insane ones. Oh the time! I was supposed to meet Rhys.
Jack: Go on, blame it on me, pretty sure he hates me enough for the hours I keep you here.

Toshiko: Suppose I should get back to work.
Jack: One thing, thanks for not alienating Ianto, probably felt he had the world against him the past few days.
Toshiko: No problem, I know what its like to miss a chance to be with the people you love.

Tosh: Perhaps it'll be better if someone else did.

Jack: Don't spend your time locked away down here Tosh, go and enjoy yourself sometimes. You don't want to lose your humanity.
Tosh: Maybe I should head home.

Owen: Tosh, tell me this, what the hell was that weird glowing?
Tosh: Me and Ianto were wondering the same thing.
Owen: ?
Tosh: We thought that it could be residue from the energy absorbed from the previous encounters.
Owen: That doesn't really explain it though, does it?
Tosh: Well if the energy had yet to be stored, and the abundance was great, just a small amount more could have 'overflowed'
Owen: I swear he's not normal.
Tosh: What are you talking about?
Owen: The man hasn't aged since we met him
Tosh: Maybe he moisturises....
Owen: Oh great one Tosh.
Tosh: Well I don't know! Loads of men don't seem to age till they hit their late 40's

Owen: They're movie stars paid an absolute fortune and probably go in for plastics every other week.
Tosh: He's not that far off looking like a movie star.

Ianto: I do believe Myfanwy it was your idea after watching Little Britain...and Z. Bigatti is men's cosmetics based in America, Costs a bloody fortune it does.
Owen: And how would you know? And how does he get it from America?
Ianto: Well that's easy, I order it, get 20% off on Amazon at the moment three shipping as well.
Owen: Okay.... Well I've never seen any deliveries.
Ianto: I don't know why, its sitting in your store cupboard.

Owen: Didn't fancy watching oh grand master cleaning the pavement.
Toshiko: Is he?
Ianto: He insisted, wouldn't ever let me help him move her body.

Toshiko: I don't know, he background seems okay and your psych assessment said there wasn't anything big...

Owen: I reckon he fancies her.
